Dems Surrender To Anti-Semitic Left, Remove Israel’s Iron Dome Funding Before Passing 2022 Budget

Far-left legislators pressured house Democrats in the United States to remove a provision in the 2022 Budget Bill providing $1 Billion in funding to replenish Israel’s Iron Dome.

After the funding from Israel was removed, H.R. 5305 passed the House of Representatives in a 220-211 vote late Tuesday night.

The Jewish State’s “Iron Dome” is designed to protect Israeli citizens and communities from incoming rocket attacks. Earlier this year, the Iron Dome system guarded civilians against 4,300 rockets fired by Hamas and other Gaza terror organizations. The highly effective system destroyed 90% of the missiles fired toward populated areas, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, according to the Israeli Military.

Although a spokesperson for the Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Rosa DeLauro stated that the funds for Israel would likely be instead included in the 2022 defense Bill at a later date, many are still not assured.

Amir Tsarfati of Behold Israel stated that although some are attempting to make the move appear to be a technicality, when you get down to brass tacks the move is plainly anti-Israel.

“Everybody says it’s technical reasons but what we know is that woke progressive liberal democrats demanded that help for Israel not be included in the coming bill of budget of the united states for the coming year.”

Antisemitic Influence Of Radical Members’

Pelosi was pressured to remove the provision of Israeli funding by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Betty McCollum, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, and Pramila Jayapal. This moved was dubbed by Republican lawmakers as yet another example of blatant anti-Israel Bias on the part of far-left democrats.

Congressmen such as Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar have faced much criticism for anti-semitic comments and actions in the past.

Ilhan Omar was named 2019’s anti-semite of the year by stopantisemitism.org for her outrageous comments including alleging that Jews buy their influence with money, infamously stating “It’s all about the Benjamins,” support of the BDS movement, and submitting a resolution in the House of Representatives comparing boycotting Israel to boycotting the Nazis, according to Jerusalem Post.

Similarly, Republican, Guy Reschenthaler, called for the “immediate removal” of Rashida Tlaib last December for her continuous anti-semitic rhetoric. The representative further scolded Pelosi stated she was “emboldening Tlaib’s dangerous, hateful bigotry, by remaining silent on the issue,” according to i24 News.

Lawmakers Condemn Anti-Israel Move

Whether Israel ultimately receives the funding or not, the removal of support for Israel’s Iron Dome from the current Bill shows a shift away from America’s support of Israel. A fact that did not go unnoticed by republican congressmen.

House Minority leader Kevin McCarthy responded to the cut of funding, stating on Twitter: “Democrats just pulled funding from the Iron Dome — the missile defense system that has saved countless lives in Israel from Hamas’ rocket attacks. While Dems capitulate to the antisemitic influence of their radical members, Republicans will always stand with Israel.”

Senator Ted Cruz further scolded Democrats, stating that they surrendered “to the anti-Semitic Left.”

“Tragic. Dem leadership surrenders to the anti-Semitic Left. They hate Israel so much that Dems are stripping $1 BILLION in funding for Iron Dome — a purely defensive system that protects countless innocent civilians from Hamas rockets. Will any Dems have the courage to denounce?” he wrote.

Even Democrat lawmakers were not silent in their rebuke.

Josh Gottheimer, urged that the Iron Dome “protects innocent civilians in Israel from terrorist attacks” and yet he is shocked to find “some of my colleagues have now blocked funding it.”

“We must stand by our historic ally — the only democracy in the Middle East,” he added.

Ted Deutch, said in a statement that the “Iron Dome is a defensive system used by one of our closest allies to save civilian lives. It needs to be replenished because thousands of rockets were fired by the Hamas terrorists who control Gaza. Consider this my pushing back against this decision.”

In Israel, Yair Netanyahu, son of former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Newsmax that the “[Iron Dome] system actually saves Palestinians lives as well, because if these missiles wouldn’t have been intercepted and they would hit civilians. Much more Israeli civilians would have been killed. Israel would have had to retaliate in a much harder way on Gaza and more, and there would be more Palestinian casualties.”

America’s Support of Israel – A Biblical Issue

Amir Tsarfati, in response, further urged that “if you wanted any proof of how America is drifting away from standing by Israel” this is it.

From a Christian perspective, America moving away from the support of Israel is not only a huge slap in the face to a great ally, but it also places the country in direct opposition to God and His hand of Blessing.

In Genesis 12:3, God not only calls all the nations of the world to bless Israel, but He also presents a warning to those nations and people that choose to curse them: “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

The Biden Administration’s softened stance and lifting of sanctions on the terror funding Iranian regime have also made Israel’s Iron Dome increasingly crucial.

Furthermore, this development comes as President Joe Biden pushes for a separate Palestinian consulate in Jerusalem. A move Michael Freund who served as deputy communications director under prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his first term stated in a Jerusalem Post opinion piece would “lay the groundwork for dividing Jerusalem.”

The Bible states that in the time prior to Jesus’ return all then nations of the world will turn against the Jewish State and have an obsession with dividing their Capital.

Zechariah 12:3 states, “And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”
